When Miracles Happen

Not exactly miracles, but I guess you know what I mean. Finals were out today, and I guess I did better than I expected I would.. by one subject. Still, it wasn't necessarily good enough. For me, anyway. So, next week's the big trip. I'll be gone for 4 days, so if you comment me between the 22nd to the 25th, then I should be able to get back to you after I get back. Or, if the hotels happen to have an internet line, then maybe some time between then, but I doubt it.

As you can see, I've changed my layout. About time, isn't it? But I don't think it'll last long... maybe because I'm not a huge fan of the background design, or the fact that I've made another blog. Don't think you've got an eye problem, because you've read right. Mainly because I honestly have nothing better to do within the holidays, maybe because I'm getting bored of this blog, too. Hope you guys like it.

When Life Meets Its End

I'm not exaggerating. Honestly, in 3 or 4 days time, my life will be officially over. I mean, not even One Tree Hill can console me at a time like this. What's going on, you ask? Well, here's the deal... finals. Something everyone dreads, something everyone wish they didn't have to face. But the truth is, you have to. One way or another, you still have to. That's the hard part.

My friends, they're all weirdly smart. So obviously, they'll do well. Like, I know they can't help but try to feel sorry for me, but the truth is, I know what they're all thinking inside. That feeling of pity for me, when they're all so undyingly happy that I did worst than them. You might not feel it now, but when the results are out, you can't help but feel that way about someone who you did better than.

Parents are all the same. They want you to succeed. But let me tell you the truth... sometimes, you need to fail in order to get up stronger than ever. You have to forget about everything that's causing you stress and just move on, tell yourself that you'll do better next time. Sometimes when you fall down hard, you get up and go ahead with life. Youth doesn't last forever, cherish it.

Teachers want you to do well, just so that they can carry that sense of pride with them. Knowing that one of their students succeeded will mean the most to them, trust me. But knowing that you let them down hurts. A lot. You can't help but feel regret, like you wish you could change the past, just so to please them. Even though you obviously can't in reality, it's just nice to try and do something that you think would've helped if it was humanly possible.

But changing the subject, trying to clear my mind of all the horrible thoughts clouding up right now... One Tree Hill. The only thing that's giving me the strength to get over this all, and no, I'm not joking... that's how obsessed I am with the show. I'm really not getting why Rachel wants to steal Nick away from Brooke, when she was the one that introduced the two. Anyhow, we'll see how it goes... I just hope that Lucas isn't her next victim. Or maybe she just has this thing for older guys. First Cooper now Nick, it could lead up to something. Then again, with One Tree Hill, you never know.

So, I was thinking... the season 3 finale, to me... was one of the most outstanding performances Sophia Bush has done. Especially the part where she slapped Peyton and when she was crying to Lucas. Spice Up Your Life

I was totally unaware of how obsessed I am with One Tree Hill until a few days ago. It's one of those shows where once you start watching it, you just can't stop. Not that anyone would want to stop watching it, it's pure bliss. So anyway, I was going through YouTube, and out of the kindness of my heart... or mainly boredom, decided to post some of the video links for your viewing pleasure. Friends. Finals. Family.

Our results for the September finals should be handed back between this week and the next. Weirdly, I'm not that nervous for as how much I get, just that I'll let my parents down or something. I mean, most people have told me that like, the 7th grade finals aren't really important, as long as you get into a good school, which I guess I already have. Mainly, I'm just afraid of getting grounded or something. Should I be feeling this way? I'm also hoping to not let my friends down and stuff... it'll be so humiliating if I get the worst in class, don't you think? Thankfully, the holidays are coming up, so it'll just be another 2 weeks before never having to see some of them again, until you know, in 10 years time when they have the traditional reunion ceremony. But there are the usual teachers-who-humiliate-you-in-front-of-the-class-by-asking-if-anyone-failed... they're the worst kind. Right now, I have some in mind. Maybe I could skip school after results are handed back, think it'll work?

As you all know, Christmas break is coming up, and so is the class of '06 graduating trip. All I really need to bring besides a luggage (or two) full of clothes and shoes, are my iPod, cell phone and probably a few books... thankfully, I won't be missing One Tree Hill. I swear, if I had to miss it (again), I would faint. It's not like I'm obsessed... maybe I am, but still, you can't drag yourself away from a perfectly good TV show. I will be missing The OC though, but at least it's just 1 instead of both, right? To my loyal commentators, could you fill me up on the dirty details when I get back on the 25th? I especially want to thank rockmusicluvr for posting the One Tree Hill spoilers, you've made me just as anxious as ever to watch it!

Anyone interested in a looks-brand-new-and-sort-of-is iPod shuffle? My parents are in negotiation with me that if I can sell my iPod shuffle I can get an iPod Nano or something... so just comment me if you're interested.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! It’s that time of year again, when children dress up and go door-to-door saying the only 3 words that matter: Trick-or-treat. Of course, only some weird, psycho freak would actually say “trick”… then again, wasting your money on buying a bunch of candy that you’re just going to randomly hand out does suck. Still, adults kind of lead a hard life, don’t they? The best thing about Halloween though, is that you get to dress up like a slut or something and no one can say anything, or for that matter, stop you. After all, aren’t you supposed to dress up during Halloween? The occasional child-getting-high-on-sugar-and-sweets always doesn’t make a failure to appear in 2/10 of the houses, with kids leaping off furniture and hanging from the chandelier barely not falling down and crushing the unfortunate kid. Oh well, that’s the punishment you get for being... young, free, and fun.

There are a lot more celebs getting into the Halloween spirit, and definitely a lot of celebrities heading down into the pumpkin patch. Let's see if a black cat crosses our path tonight, maybe you'll break a mirror... or if you're "lucky", you just might get the chance to walk under a ladder, open an umbrella indoors or see hats on the bed.

So, because I absolutely hate posting twice in a row, and try to restrain myself from doing that every once in a while, I've just decided to post somehing extra. Don't take this the wrong way or anything, I don't really think I'm that mean a person in real life... but I'm no angel either. I guess I'm just... normal. This girl in the world, losing a bet and getting dared to do what I'm about to do right here, right now. It's not that bad when you really think about it, I think it's still worthy of a dare, but still not those nerve-wracking ones where you just have to say no. The dare is that I have to type something bad about one of my classmates from school, so here goes. God, I really don't know how to put this into words, but I don't really mean it... don't get offended or anything, okay? Um... I guess I'll actually try this time. - Lily, I think you're a *pauses for thinking* person who has mood swings every once to often -

I think that about wraps it up... it's okay, right?? I mean, I don't want to overdo it or anything, because I actually want friends. One Tree Hill is probably the best show ever to air on TV, we'll divide this into two. Group A, the people that totally agree and are as obsessed with the show as I am; Group B, the ones that disagree. Comment me and just type Group A/B if you actually read this.

Talk Of The Town

... is that Britney Spears' new-born baby is actually a girl, and therefore not named Sutton, but Jayden James. That's a cute name, isn't it? Mrs. Federline is also looking to be more... hot, in recent pictures. Credit: X17

Funny thing is, everytime I attempt to write something personally-related, I find that I often get side-tracked to other, stuff. So, for once in a long, long time, I'm actually going to write about what happened with me. Save your sarcasm for later, your gasps and surprisement doesn't intrigue me.

Anyway, it's the holiday season again. Barely. I don't re-call a 9 day break to be a call for a festive season, do you? Something that I'm pretty sure you guys didn't know, I went overseas, sort of. Took a really long drive down to the South, getting caught in a horrible traffic jam. It didn't help that I get totally sick while being trapped for 5-hours in a nauseating scent of the newly washed leather car. Not that type of stretchy-leather made to design jeans, the car material type, get what I mean?? Weirdly, only some cars cause me to get car-sick; others, like the oh-so-elegant-yet-classy Mercedes-Benz has no such effect on me.

Yawn, there's not much else to write about me... which totally sucks. I guess after a really long time writing down the script version of The Daily 10 on E! - "Bringing You The Latest Buzz In Hollywood Before It Begins Buzzing" really does leave an effect on you.

Just to name a few stuff I got while on vacation:

1... Books (The It Girl, Gossip Girl) 2... Magazines (CosmoGirl!, Heat) 3... Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss 4... Shoes 5... Skipping Rope For Tennis ~ Foot Co-ordination sucks.

The thing that surprises me the most is that I didn't buy one single outfit. Worst yet, I'm throwing what's hoped to be the party of the year, and I have absolutely nothing to wear. (Groan)... help! Oh, just want to say a quick "Congratulations!" to Lindsay Lohan for getting the award for Breakthrough Actor Of The Year. Take that, Hilary Duff. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the Oscar nominations soon to be announced!

Changes

Not in me, in other people. Look, I don't want to name names or anything, but just to let you know, I'm getting pretty tired of everything happening in the land that we call Hollywood. I almost got you there, didn't I? I know, most people thought that I was talking about my friends or something, but truth be told, I did find some sort of evolution in my friends, but I'm not going to whine about it and beg for your help on here. No, that's not me... I'm pretty sure of that. But anyway, getting back to the point :

1. The people in Puittsburgh should hate Sienna Miller.

2. Paris Hilton & Nicole Richie's friendship reconciled.. after a year too long.

3. Lindsay Lohan & Harry Morton back together??

4. Hilary Duff has a stalker.. finally, after being in the spotlight for some time now.. you think she'd have 1 already.

5. Anna Nicole Smith's late son murdered instead of a drug overdose?

That's all I feel like typing right now, ~~or can remember~~, so changing the subject a little, yesterday was Friday the 13th. It was sort of unfortunate for me, thinking of when I had to be dragged out to dinner with my family's close friends... (sarcasm) doesn't that shout fun?! That wasn't the bad thing... probably what could have broken the record for most unexpected conflict for the night was that they actually decided to do some karaoke and belch out songs from Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Westlife & Avril Lavigne. It was defeaning, or at least should have been. Anyway, going on upstairs, a wedding ceremony was being held. Turns out, not all the drama goes on in Tinseltown. Apparently, one of the guests got into a brawl with the groom and reportedly punched him for marrying his ex-girlfriend. Ouch. The cops were even called by the manager to calm the ~~drunk~~ guest down... or maybe even take him to spend a night in jail? Also, the bride fled in a car out of total humiliation. And to think, all of this happened in an elegant restaurant downtown, I'm starting to think that this exact scene coukd be re-enacted in LA at Bungalow 8, only better.

The Devil Wears Prada

I just watched it maybe a few hours ago... it was a good movie, the clothes were to die for. I mean, they even got Valentino to make an appearance. The clothes and accessories were absolutely gorgeous, ranging from Chanel to Marc Jacobs. They even mentioned Karl Lagerfeld and Dolce & Gabbana. Basically though, there wasn't really a story line.

"The Devil Wears Prada" Plot Summary (IMDB)

Meryl Streep tears up the landscape as demanding fashion editor, Miranda Priestley, of "Runway" magazine. She is a terror to everyone who is around her as is quickly depicted in the opening scenes of the movie. Her first assistant (Emily Blunt) strives to please her and tries to emulate her, but one can sense that she is not quite as hard as she tries to put on. Into this mix comes a young woman (Anne Hathaway) who knows nothing of the fashion industry, has never read the magazine, and doesn't know who Miranda Priestley is. She only sees this as a stepping stone to another journalism position. Showing no fashion sense and immediately scorned by everyone, Miranda nonetheless hires her as the second assistant. When Miranda demands that she obtain the next unpublished Harry Potter manuscript, you can sense that she is trying to force her to quit, but it makes the young woman dig in to please her boss. With the help of one of the magazine's fashion editors (Stanley Tucci), she gets a complete makeover and a new security. However, with her new appearance and the demands placed on her, she starts to lose her friends, family and her live-in boy friend (Adrian Grenier). As she is whisked away to Paris with Miranda and faces all of the glamor that could be hers, including a flashy if not artificial freelance journalist (Simon Baker), she is forced to make the decision of where she wants to be in her life.

The movie did well in the box office, raking in $123.887 from September 29-October 1, and also coming it at #2 in its first week. I know it came out at the end of June and all, but I've been relatively "busy". Those fashion fanatics (me, being one of them) should really go and see it, if you haven't yet. As for those who don't really know brands and such, you could go and see it... it might open up many doors of opportunities for you. Might.

The next movie(s) I want to see is/are "John Tucker Must Die", "The Break-Up", "You, Me & Dupree", "A Prairie Home Companion" and "Bobby". It seems like a lot, but when you round it all up, there aren't really much.

Anyway, "Bobby" should do quite well... it has an awesome cast, like Emilio Estevez, William H. Macy, Elijah Wood, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Lindsay Lohan, Nick Cannon, Anthony Hopkins, Joshua Jackson, Sharon Stone, etc.

The story of the assassination of U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy, on June 6th, 1968, which centers around 22 people who were at the Ambassador Hotel where he was killed.

It sounds like an adult movie, and maybe it is, but that's not going to stop me from watching what's rumored to be an Oscar favorite. The movie premiered recently at the 63rd Venice Film Festival Awards where some of the cast members attended.

So basically, this entry is just revolving around movies and all that... it's not my fault there are so many damn good movies coming out right now.

A Public Affair

I need serious updates on One Tree Hill & The OC, starting from Season 2. Don't ask why I'm that slow over here, just give me the 411 and I'll be satisfied. So, I just want to give a quick shout out to my friend, Rosie... Happy Birthday! Oh, and to Hilary Duff too... only 2 more years until you're legal, I'm sure no one can wait to see how this I'm-so-innocent blonde will grow up to be like. She can't be that sweet, though. I mean, look who she's dating. A rocker from Good Charlotte who happens to have a little too many tattoos and piercings isn't exactly my idea of a girl-next-door's boyfriend. Speaking of relationships, Jude Law & Sienna Miller might be dating again. Or not. Why can't they just get together or break-up and be done with it? Paris Hilton & Nicole Richie's friendship once again reconciled, Zach Braff might be trying to plot his way into stealing Rachel Bilson away from Adam Brody, and Lindsay Lohan might be dating Stavros Niarchos, a.k.a. Paris Hilton's ex. Is it just me or do I smell some club drama coming up?

So, I'm going on this school field trip tomorrow (only girls), so who knows what the boys will get up to? We're going to some girls' high school for a quick tour, but who really cares? It's not that like after one tour around the school they'll just blow your mind away or anything. Speaking of high schools, how many of you watched High School Musical and fell in love with it? I know some people, most of which are going to great lengths and are actually performing half of the songs from the movie in front of an actual audience. How obsessed can these people get? Besides, their choice cast is really bad, they might have only casted maybe 1/4 main characters correctly.

Anyway, my brother's friend from Boston is coming to stay with us for a week because his parents are up somewhere in Beijing & Mongolia. It'll be sort of weird suddenly having an extra brother and all, but I've never experienced it before, so who knows... maybe it could actually be fun. Besides, parents totally cut you some slack when they see that a guest is around and everything, so as not to ruin the whole image of the seemingly happy family. What's behind closed doors, you'll never know.

Material Girls

I swear, school now is so yesterday. Half the time people are jumping around like idiots who had a shot of vodka too much, and the other half we're forced to sit behind books learning about things that we'll eventually learn next year. Honestly, I don't even know why we're even bothering to show up at school. Finals are over, and everyone knows that once soon-to-be-graduates have their share of freedom, they go wild. Has anyone read that copy of UsWeekly, the one published a few years back? (Picture below:) That's sort of how I'm describing the wild antics of the pre-graduates. Only two more months until school's out, I'm not sure I can wait that long, but still, it's better than nothing. So, to make-up for the undeniably agonizing hours at school, I kind of bring along a few items to satisfy my needs... I sound like a pervert, don't I?

Books, a.k.a. Gossip Girl, Seven Deadly Sins, etc.
Games, a.k.a. Guess The Celebrity & Stardom (Both of which are weirdly entertaining and made up by my friends & I)

That's about it, really. Not much but still able to keep you going until school's out. Other than that, I'll just spend my time gossiping and talking, the usual. I mean, what else do you expect me to do in school? Hit on the teachers who make the list? Please, I have so grown over that phase.

Of course, most who have changed by now. These Hollywood socialites and teen queens were the party animals of 04’, but after 2 years, have since changed their image and personality. Can any of you see the difference from the picture in the 2004 UsWeekly to the ones I’ve individually posted above? Personally, I think that the current pictures are better. A lot.
